Trout Links was borne out of the desire for me to have a bookmark record of every worthwhile fly fishing site that I could possibly find. While search engines have gotten better and better, I've found some real gems either by chance or hidden deep within the search results of Google and Yahoo. I wanted a better way to find them again. I wanted a way to make sure others could fine them also.

Why don't these gems get ranked higher in search? Well, I think it's because trout fishing website owners would rather spend more time on the water than playing around optimizing their sites' search results.

What's a fisherperson to do?

That's where this site comes in. I've squandered many a rainy day scouring the internet for good reading. Now I've brought my hard work as well as the hard work of others to you hoping that you'll spend less time searching and more time learning. I've assembled what I think are the best trout fishing sites out there. I have to admit, these sites are mostly focused on fly fishing, but there's a fair amount of stuff for the spin caster and bait fisherman in all of us.

But you have a part to play too!

Of course, I haven't cornered the market on good websites, so I've given you, the reader, a chance to rate the sites, comment on them, and even suggest additions of your own. Please participate aggressively in our community to help others find great sites.
